The Location – A Captivating Kumaoni Hill Town
Perched at an altitude of 2420 metres above sea level, Binsar is a quaint hill town in the Kumaon region of the Himalayas set amidst the verdant forests dotted with oak, rhododendrons, deodar, pine trees. As heaven for trekkers, Binsar is adorned with a Zero point that provides panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks, including Nanda Devi, Trishul, Shivling, Kedarnath, Chaukhambha, and Panchachuli. Apart from providing soul-stirring vistas, the picturesque town also brings you closer to the unique flora and fauna of the Himalayas as it is surrounded by the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary which is home to a wide variety of wildlife and flower species.

Built by Lt. General Sir Henry Ramsay, cousin to the Viceroy of India, in 1856, Tree of Life Grand Oak Manor is now owned by the family of Rai Bahadur Harkishan Lal Sah Gangola who bought it in 1931. While the ownership changed, the rich colonial heritage ambience has always stayed unblemished so that you can transcend back in time during your enchanting Himalayan getaway amidst the blissful serenity of Binsar. Valley View Hideaway Room (32 sq.m.): Adorned with simple decor and solar-powered amenities to maintain harmony with nature, the Valley View Hideaway Room engulfs you in comfy, contemporary opulence amidst the heritage aura of the manor. Nestled on the ground and first floors, each room features a porch or a balcony to delight you during your stay by offering sweeping vistas of the Himalayan ranges. Change of Date: 1 change in dates is permissible at no additional charge, provided that the change is made at least 30 days before the original arrival date and provided that the hotel has availability on the newly requested dates. Pantnagar Airport, located 142 km (approx. 4 hours) is the nearest airport to the resort. It has regular flight connectivity with the ingress of direct flights from Delhi and Dehradun and connecting flights to other major cities, such as Ahmedabad and Pune.
You can also drive to the resort via a 9.5-hour (383 km) drive from Delhi, a 10-hour (369 km) drive from Dehradun, an 11-hour (459 km) drive from Lucknow or a 12-hour (496 km) route from Kanpur.
Kathgodam Railway Station, located 105 km (approx. 3.5 hours) away from the resort, is the nearest railhead. The railway station has decent rail connectivity with the influx of direct trains from Delhi, Lucknow, and Dehradun.
