After two successful seasons, Costa Victoria is back with its sailing — Maldives to Mumbai.

The journey begins from Male — a densely populated capital of the Maldives, an island nation in the Indian Ocean. Known for its mosques and colourful buildings, the Maldivian capital is the mercantile heart of the nation, and is popular for its laidback island life, which you won’t get to experience anywhere else.

The next stop would be Colombo, capital of Sri Lanka and ocean city — With a long history as a port on ancient east-west trade routes, the city is known for its heritage architecture.

Going on, the ship will stop at Mormugao, a sub-district in South Goa. It is Goa’s main port. Guess what? The port was featured in the 1980 movie The Sea Wolves and the Bollywood movie Bhootnath, starring Amitabh Bachchan.

And the last stop of the cruise is Mumbai — a city of dreams, India’s financial powerhouse, fashion epicentre, glamour, with some of the most amazing beaches.

 

The ship — Hugely luxurious

The Costa Victoria is inspired by a blend of Italian and Swedish design. Sailing mainly in the Mediterranean and Asian seas, the ship has capacity of 2,394 passengers and 790 crew members. Featuring stunning scenery, beautiful cultural attractions, the ship sails to unique destinations and give you time to explore every port it stops at. What are the ship’s features? It has 964 cabins, including 20 suites, 242 balcony cabins, 391 inside cabins.

The cabins come with roomy interiors and modern amenities like HD satellite TV sets, which are interactive and can be used for different shipboard services. There are coffee maker machines and a large selection of drinks available. Other amenities include a telephone, minibar, safe, hairdryer and room service 24/7.

• Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the sailing date.
• Sri Lankan Tourist Visa has to be applied before the departure. The site is www.eta.gov.lk. Kindly carry a printout of the visa processed online.
  
• For Basic cabin category, the dinner timing is at 7 PM.
• Cruise Currency: Please note Currency onboard is only Euro and can either be paid in Cash or Credit Card. Debit Cards are not accepted.

Facilities

Dining: You can choose from a wide variety of options. The cruise boasts several restaurants & bars:

• Ristorante Sinfonia - One of Costa Victoria's five restaurants and is located on deck 5 of the ship. With two fixed seatings of either 7pm or 9.30pm, dinner comprises of six courses.
• Ristorante Fantasia - Like the Sinfonia restaurant, Ristorante Fantasia is the ship's second main dining room on deck 5. Breakfast and lunch are also served in the Fantasia restaurant (with open seating). Dinner is fixed dining with a choice of 7 or 9.30pm seatings and offers the same menu options as the Sinfonia restaurant.
• Ristorante Buffet Bolero - Costa Victoria's casual restaurant, open for breakfast and lunch. The buffet restaurant consists of a number of different stations serving a selection of food. Breakfast options include scrambled eggs, omelettes, cereal, fresh fruit, pastries, sausages etc. The lunch menu offers pasta, salads, cold meats and cooked dishes whilst the grill stations, serving at one end the pools and the other the Caffe Terazza open air seating area, provide options including burgers, fries, hotdogs, pizza and fresh fruit. Afternoon tea is also served here with a selection of sandwiches, cakes and drinks available for passengers.
• Gelateria e Grill Nettuno - the ice cream station and Neptune Grill of the Buffet Bolero restaurant on deck 11.
• Club Il Magnifico - the ship's reservation-only restaurant, which is not included in the package. Open for dinner it offers an a la carte menu with main courses ranging from around 7 euros to 9 euros. It also features a dance floor for after-dinner entertainment.
• Caffe Terrazza - located at the aft of the ship on deck 11, isn't in itself a Cafe but is served by one of the grill stations of Ristorante Buffet Bolero. It provides open air seating and is protected by a large white canopy sheltering it from either the sun or rain during inclement weather.
• Pizzeria La Tavernetta - on deck 12, this pizzeria serves slices of pizza mid afternoon until early evening and made to order whole pizzas during the evening.
• Bar Sirena - Located towards the front of the ship by the lifts and can be accessed from the pool area.
• Grand Bar Orpheus - is a large lounge found on deck 6 of the ship with plenty of seating options. It includes a bar and dance floor (pista da ballo) and piano for live music.
• Capriccio Lounge - Located midship on deck 7 and can accommodate around 90 guests. With its own bar and dance floor it provides guests with an ideal place for a drink and to watch the live entertainment on offer.
• Bar Planetarium - a small bar and seating area with a piano for entertainment. It is located on deck 5 of the ship at the bottom of the atrium. Being in the centre of the ship, it makes a good general meeting area or a quieter area for a drink.
• Bar Bellavista - Bar Bellavista at the back of deck 7 serves the Teatro Festival Theatre.

Activities: Get ready for high energy entertainment activities on the ship! Starting with the theatre, show lounge, nightclub, casino, cards room, duty free shops, gift shops and games room — there’s something for everyone.

Wellness Centre: Want to experience something ultra stylish? A swimming pool, a spa pool and a jacuzzi — there’s everything to make you feel pampered and comfortable. To top it up, try out the fully equipped Fitness Center, the jogging track and the multipurpose court for outdoor tennis, volleyball and 5-a-side soccer. ​Overlooking the sea is the Terme Pompei, the ship's wellness center, where you can rejuvenate your senses with different treatments and massages. There’s a sauna, Turkish bath and a relaxation area for you to explore as well. The services are available at a surcharge.
