The exciting tour will take you to the inscribed-cross Metekhi Church, commissioned by the legendary King Vakhtang Gorgasali in the 5th century and set on a cliff overlooking the Mtkvari River. Travel further back in history from the church as you visit the 4th-century Narikala fortress, located atop a mountain near Tbilisi, offering spectacular views of the city. You could also walk through one of the oldest streets of the city - Chardin Street, to explore some of its fabulous cafes, clubs, art salons, and galleries. The name of the street is a tribute to the famous French artist Jean-Baptiste-Simeon Chardin. Continue your journey through Georgian history by visiting the 17th-century Sulfur Old Baths, which have subterranean pavilions with brilliant red brick domes emanating steam from Tbilisi’s famous hot springs from their tops to offer an unrivalled visual treat. Learn more about the fascinating history and culture of Georgia’s various regions by visiting the Giorgi Chitaia Open Air Museum at 3:00 pm, which exhibits more than 70 awe-inspiring structures. Enhance the experience of your second day in Georgia by following up your museum tour with a visit to the Turtle Lake, a serene, family-friendly recreational area offering the quintessential ambience to relax for a while in tranquillity while gazing at the majestic mountains. Day 4: History and Wine - Both Age Very Well

Celebrate the fascinating Georgian cultural heritage with some fine wine! After a delectable breakfast at the hotel at 9:00 am, your enthralling journey to Telavi will begin at 10:00 am as you set out to explore the largest town in Kakheti. You’ll be commencing your exploration at 12:00 noon by visiting the city centre of the picturesque town, set in the vineyard-strewn Alazani valley between the Gombori Mountains and the Caucasus. As the clock strikes 1:00 pm, you’ll be visiting the Alaverdi Monastery, which dates back to the beginning of the 11th century, and was one of the tallest structures of the era, which has helped it earn itself a place in the UNESCO World Heritage Site tentative list. The Alaverdi Cathedral has been repeatedly destroyed and restored, with its first restoration dating back to the 15th century and the second one occurred in the 18th century after an earthquake. After exploring Telavi, you’ll be travelling to Tsinandali at 3:00 pm, which is the residence of the 19th-century Prince, Poet, and Public icon, Alexsandre Chavchavadze. Due to his familiarity with the European wine-making methods, the Prince built the oldest and largest winery of Georgia while embellishing his residence with a lush garden and a wine cellar which boasts of a extensive collection of over 20000 bottles of unique wine. You can also indulge in some wine tasting sessions for an extra cost of $5 or culinary activities for $12.
